Rwandan drama TV series ‘The Bishop’s Family’ produced by Zacu Entertainment Ltd is now airing on A+, a pan-African French-speaking family entertainment television channel created by Canal+.

The TV series which premiered on the channel this week will air from Monday to Friday at 6:40pm to 8pm. The series was first premiered on the launch of Zacu TV on October 1, 2022, and began airing on October 3, when the TV officially started its programme.

Nelly Wilson Misago, the founder of Zacu Entertainment highlighted the impact this project will have on the Rwandan cinema scene.

"This is a pivotal moment for the Rwandan Cinema industry as we make our entry into the Pan-African market. Producing our film in Kinyarwanda was a labor of love and cultural authenticity for us. The fact that it has now been dubbed into French and is airing on A+ is incredibly meaningful," he said.

Given that they always dreamt of having Tv series featured on international channels, Misago said this milestone signifies just the beginning of that exciting journey as Rwandan creators.

The series is about Dan, a family man and a successful yet humble bishop whose marriage with the controversial Jane is constantly under scrutiny. When unsuspected foes threaten their family and their life accomplishments, Dan and Jane must fight to prevent them from destroying everything they worked so hard for.

‘The Bishop’s Family’ starrs renowned Rwandan actors Alain Samson Mwiyeretsi, Bloda Rutayisire, Aime Valens Tuyisenge, Divine Gatesi Kayonga, Clenie Dusenge and Abouba Iradukunda among others.
