RnB singer and songwriter Bruce Melodie is set to perform at the renowned ‘One Love Africa Music Festival’ in Gothenburg, Sweden, the first ever Afrobeats festival in Scandinavia.

The festival, scheduled for July 5 to 7, will feature an impressive lineup of African talent, including Ruger and Skales from Nigeria, Miss JobBizz from Gambia, Izzyno from Sierra Leone, and Innoss'B collaborator 'A l'aise', among others.

Dubbed One Love Africa Music Festival, the event is dedicated to presenting world-class celebration of African music by creating a timeless and adventurous environment allowing the full experience of the African culture, food, arts, and music showcasing on the big stage some of Africa’s most talented acts and exports.

The Trace Award winner is one of the leading figures on Rwanda's music scene at the moment, with his music videos amassing millions of views and attracting over 200,000 monthly listeners across various music streaming platforms.

"We are happy to officially present the Rwandan super star Bruce Melodie. He will be performing at One Love Africa Music Festival,” organizers posted on their Instagram platform.

Besides, the ‘Henzapu’ singer is enjoying a whirlwind international exposure following the success of their ‘feel good’ hit song, also known as "Funga Macho”, a joint remix with a legendary Jamaican singer, Shaggy released in October last year, which continues to enjoy unprecedented airplay, with Bruce Melodie being the biggest beneficiary.

The annual event is a Swedish Afrobeats, Afropop, Afro house and afro-dancehall festival. The idea is to connect Afro Scandinavia and Non-Afro Scandinavia so that they can enjoy the sound from the Africa, according to organizers.

With DJs from around the world set to entertain attendees, the festival promises three days of music, dance, and cultural appreciation.

The festival’s relocation to Gothenburg underscores the city’s growing reputation as a hub for cultural events.

Previous editions of the festival have drawn artists and audiences from across Scandinavia, binding its status as a premier showcase for Afrobeats in the region.
