Mexique   Vs  Aruba 9pm

Rwanda’s U18 women’s beach volleyball team take on their counterparts of Venezuela today in the third and last Group ‘F’ match at the 3rd Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

While unbeaten Venezuela have already qualified for the quarter-finals, victory for Rwanda today would serve nothing more than consolation after Christophe Mudahinyuka’s ladies lost the first two games against Aruba and Mexico earlier this week.

The pair of Valentine Munezero and Penelope Musabyimana lost 2-1 (15-21, 21-18, 13-150) to Aruba on Monday before suffering another defeat, in straight sets (21-13, 21-16), to Mexico on Wednesday.

On the other hand, group leaders Venezuela beat Mexico 2-1 (15-21, 21-15, 15-10) in the opener before cruising to an effortless 21-10, 21-12 triumph over Aruba on Wednesday.

The winner between Mexico and Aruba today will advance to the knock-outs stage with Venezuela.

Rwanda secured the ticket to the Youth Olympics in July after finishing second at this year’s African Youth Games in Algeria.
