Get inspired: Trash your past failures, move on…

If I may flash back, last Sunday we talked about ‘Positive Thinking.’ We discussed how a positive mind anticipates happiness, joy, health and a successful outcome of every situation and action.

We said that, if we cannot change instantly the challenges around us, at least we are capable of thinking positively towards the circumstances, this protects one from the anxiety, worries and loss of hope for life.

With that brief review, allow me to introduce today’s message. If you have been a failure and still live by your past, please, lend me your ears.

Failure to achieve a certain goal maybe strong enough to pull you back to another time when you would like to work towards a new goal.

Failure may have the negative effect of making one give up on trying to attain other goals. However, failure may not be so bad after all, especially if one looks at it in terms of lessons to be learnt from it.

Someone’s life becomes unhealthy when failure becomes like a daily food. If I may preach a little, God did not create mankind to fail, but to succeed in everything he places his hands on.

For those whose past is a stumbling block, I say trash your past and move on. Confucious once said ‘Our greatest glory is never in failure, but in rising every time we fall.’

This is a beautiful quotation; it renews my mind and keeps me moving whenever I read it. That fact that you are out of that discomforting situation of failure you are already victorious. Thank God you did not die from it.

From today onwards get to understand that you are victorious over that failure, there’s no need of thinking over and over again about it. Better get a lesson from it, look for reasons why you failed and trash the other memories of ‘why me?’

Do not regret but press on. Believe that you can still succeed and reach on to your goals any time you feel like achieving them. Walk on with a mind of victory and perseverance. Never allow your mind to be crippled by your past.
