Bank of Africa Rwanda, on October 6, got to share a light moment of appreciation with its customers from their main branch and internal staff on the occasion of celebrating Customer Service week after reaching out to its customers in different branches across the country.

Customer Service Week, which runs from October 3 to 7, provides a unique opportunity for service providers and support professionals around the globe to join in a celebration of the important role that customer service plays in every organisation.

The official event to highlight the essence of good customer service was marked by interaction of senior management of the bank with customers where they shared messages of appreciation and awarded some of their loyal customers.

Abderrahmane Belbachir, Managing Director, Bank of Africa, emphasised on the bank’s mission of serving customers with efficiency and courtesy, "Every day, we strive to achieve this goal, and this week in particular, we went above and beyond to ensure that you feel valued and recognise our commitment to serving you as you deserve.”

Boris I. Ruzigana, Head of Retail at Bank of Africa, said this is an important occasion to engage with customers, appreciate them and listen to their feedback in areas of improvement in service delivery.

"Rwanda is a small market with high competition, but the key we are using to be more relevant is putting our customers at the forefront of what we do...with the current economic situation, we don’t want to drain our customers but facilitate them in their needs.”

He highlighted one of the latest products known as IGA loan, which now funds one’s full educational expenses at any level with no interest and it is repayable within 10 months.

Anais Uwimana, forex trader and customer of Bank of Africa, commended the bank for their flexible and quick service delivery over the past four years he has been banking with them.

Uwimana is one of the awardees of the bank for being a loyal customer.

The officials also had an opportunity to celebrate with the staff at the bank Head Office to commend them for the quality of service delivered to customers and to recharge for the better work ahead.

"I have the pleasure to count you among my collaborators for more than 5 years now. I have always valued the professionalism you exhibit through your daily work,” Belbachir told the staff.

"Although there is still much room for improvement, I would be ungrateful if I did not acknowledge the success you have already brought to the bank. And I encourage you to pursue your success by maintaining the constant motivation you display every day.”
