Kigali Jazz Junction

After a two-month break, the Kigali Jazz Junction returns today, at the usual venue, the Kigali Serena Hotel.

Following in the footsteps of Nigerian musicians that have headlined previous editions, Nigerian songbird Iruobe Ebele, better known by her stage name, Waje, will be the main act this time round, alongside Rwanda’s very own Jean Marie Muyango, touted as a legend in gakondo (cultural music) circles.

Waje jetted into the country on Tuesday night, before addressing the news at the Kigali Serena Hotel the following morning.

Jazz with Stella at Hotel Portofino

Rising Jazz sensation, Stella Tush returns to Hotel Portofino this Sunday and it is one refreshing evening you don't want to miss.

Tushabe plays her saxophone alongside Evy Ngabo (Piano) and Delphine Manishimwe (vocalist) at the show which starts from 6pm to 10pm.

Held at the poolside, her show dubbed #JazzWithStella, is free of charge and there are many promos on drinks and food.

Silent Disco at Ram Lounge

A group of Ugandan DJs will meet up with their colleagues from Rwanda this Friday for a night dubbed, ‘Ram Silent Disco’.

The event that takes place at Ram Lounge (below RSSB) starts at 7pm till late.

Movies

Have fun with family and friends as you watch the latest movies, Crazy Rich Asians and The Meg, showing this weekend at Century Cinema, Kigali, located at the Kigali City Tower. Showtime is 4pm to 9:30PM.

Night clubs

If you are still looking for places to hang out this weekend, worry no more. Kigali has a number of night clubs, to sweat the night away. They include Bougainvilla, Chillax Lounge, K-Club, Envy club, People’s Club and Ogopogo.
