Sorwathe and Pepiniere face off today at Kigali Stadium, starting at 3:30pm, as playoffs to determine who will replace Intare in the upcoming 2018/19 Azam Rwanda Premier League get underway.

Three teams are in contention for the one available spot in the topflight league.

Action begins today with Sorwathe playing Pepiniere before taking on Gicumbi on Thursday. The latter will be up against Pepiniere on Saturday. All matches will be played at Kigali Stadium.

The team with most points will be declared the ultimate winner to occupy the vacant slot in the top-tier football league, replacing Intare FC who announced their withdrawal last month.

If there is a tie in points between teams, the match between the concerned sides will determine who gets the ticket. If the head-to-head doesn’t work, then the goal difference will be applied.

According to Ferwafa, each team is allowed to make five substitutions in a game.
