Biramahire pens 3-year contract at Club Sfaxien

The deal will see him at the club till end of the 2020/2021 season.

Tunisia topflight football league side Club Sportif Sfaxien have completed the signing of former Police FC striker Abeddy Biramahire on a three-year contract.

The deal will see him at the club till end of the 2020/2021 season.

Birahamahire, 20, joins the four-time CAF Confederation Cup winners, Club Sportif Sfaxien, following his surprise release from Police FC last month.

Speaking to Times Sport in a telephone interview from Tunisia on Tuesday, the Rwanda international said, "I don’t know how to describe how I feel right now. Joining a big team like Sfaxien is very exciting – certainly my biggest career highlight so far.”

"I am very happy and nervous at the same time – it’s a move I hardly believed would materialize. I look forward to enjoying football in Tunisia,” the young striker said.

Biramahire becomes the second Rwandan to join a Tunisian side in the last two months. He joins, in Tunisia, former APR forward Innocent Nshuti was signed by Stade Tunisien in July.
