ACabinet Meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame, on Friday made some changes in Rwanda's diplomatic missions, notably appointing Claude Nikobisanzwe, as the first Rwandan Ambassador to Mozambique.

Nikobisanzwe was until his latest appointment serving as the Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and EAC .

He previously served as the First Secretary at the Rwandan High Commission in South Africa.

In a related development, Dr. Richard Masozera was appointed Ambassador of Rwanda to Kenya replacing James Kimonyo.

The cabinet meeting also approved the following persons, as Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Rwanda. These are; Gunther VANPRAET, in Flanders -Belgium; and Poppe Wolfgang, in Vienna, Austria.

Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Infrastructure get new Permanent Secretaries

Meanwhile, Feza Urujeni Bakuramutsa, was appointed Permanent Secretary, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community (MINAFFET).

Before her latest appointment, Urujeni was serving as the Deputy Permanent Representative of Rwanda to the U.N. She previously worked as the Director General of Imbuto Foundation.

Uwase Patricia,28, was appointed the Permanent Secretary In the Ministry of Infrastructure (MININFRA). Uwase has previously served as Transport Technical Advisor in the same Ministry of Infrastructure.  

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Rwanda.

In May 2015, Uwase graduated from University of California (UC) Berkeley with a Masters in Civil Engineering, after she received a full scholarship to UC Berkeley from The MasterCard Foundation.

Her training at the University of California focused on Transportation Engineering and Planning, and while at Berkeley she also completed a one-year internship with the San Francisco County Transportation Authority.
