Bank of Kigali teams have dominated the second edition of Inter-Bank Games, which concluded over the weekend, lifting titles in basketball, football, and volleyball.

The competitions attracted 15 commercial banks and National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) with the finals being played on Saturday at different grounds in Kigali.

The participating banks were; Bank of Kigali, Access Bank, GT Bank, BPR, AB Bank, Cogebanque, Ecobank, Crane Bank, Urwego Bank, I&M Bank, Equity Bank, KCB bank, Unguka Bank, and Bank of Africa.

The BK basketball team beat Equity Bank 89-63 in the final at Green Hills courts.

The white and blue outfit overpowered BPR in straight sets to win the volleyball tournament at Amahoro while their football counterparts thumped Equity Bank 2-0 at Mumena Stadium in Nyamirambo to retain the title.

BK’s goals were scored by Eric Bimenyimana and Jean de Dieu Kimenyi.

Meanwhile, Ecobank beat BNR 3-0 to finish third in volleyball, BPR beat Cogebank 105-58 to take the third position in basketball, while they also beat BNR 7-2 to take the position in football.

On top of the trophy and medals, winners in each category received Rwf1m, the beaten finalists walked away with Rwf500,000, while the second runners-up were given Rwf300,000.
