After losing two of the top anchors to BBC, CNBC Africa has hired Rwandan television personality Eugene Anangwe as a business anchor.

The Pan-African network last month lost Maggie Mutesi and George Ndirangu who both moved to BBC Africa.

Anangwe is popular for his weekly show on Rwanda Television dubbed In Focus.

Despite moving to CNBC Africa, he is allowed to keep his show on Rwanda Television.

Anangwe has previously worked for the now defunct Royal TV, Tele10 and Contact Radio. 

He is also a renowned events’ MCee and social media enthuthiast.

CNBC Africa in 2016 moved their East African Headquarters to Kigali. The media outlet has two studios in Kigali; Kayciru and at the Kigali Convention Centre in Kimihurura.
