Style for the full bodied woman

The full figured women are often somewhat ignored when it comes to fashion. It’s usually our slimmer sisters who get the cute dresses or the vogue trousers. But take heart my dear sisters because today we are going to try and find solutions to our little (read big) problem.

A fashionable beautiful women.

The full figured women are often somewhat ignored when it comes to fashion. It’s usually our slimmer sisters who get the cute dresses or the vogue trousers. But take heart my dear sisters because today we are going to try and find solutions to our little (read big) problem.

It’s no secret that most African ladies fall in this category since unlike our sisters in other continents, God thought we needed more of everything, but this shouldn’t cause you to worry.
We’ll start with the dress.

Everyone needs at least one good dress, suitable for a number of occasions. You need to look for one that accentuates and compliments your fuller figure. Choose a dress that is slightly high waisted, one that sits just below your bust. This will create a perfect hour glass body shape.

You should also not forget to purchase a little black dress. You can never go wrong with this kind. For one, the black colour has a slimming effect, and secondly, this dress will suit any occasion, be it a wedding, an evening out and even a funeral. This is no doubt a classic.

We all know how embarrassing it is to go swimming with all your love handles out for the whole world to see, so most of us opt not to go at all. Why should your size stop you from doing what you love? When you go out to look for swim wear, look for a solid two piece bottom with a patterned top.

This will take the attention off your bottom and emphasize your bust. A one piece with a wrap detail will disguise your large gut and also create a slimmer waist line. With this piece you can also hide you’re your heavier thigh or hip area. With these options you’ll be good to go, and will surely enjoy your swim!

Choosing underwear and especially bras must be the hardest thing for a full busted woman. However with the right direction this should be no bother at all. When choosing a bra make sure there is no spillage on the bra cup top and on the side. Also make sure the bra does not dig or ride up your back.

Make sure you feel comfortable and the bra gives you enough support. You can find all kinds of bras, sports, strapless, sexy and everyday comfort bras in the proper comfortable size. When choosing trousers, including jeans one should always avoid a narrow leg because this gives you an ice-cream cone look, rather go for a trouser that has a straight leg from the hip all the to the floor.

This will give you body that slim look. For the office, black or grey trousers are good while designer jeans can do on a night out or while relaxing at home. I would not be much help if I left without talking about the shirts and blouses, would I?

When choosing a blouse especially if you are well endowed up there, look for a wrap blouse, this flatters your body and since most of these are V- necks they elongate the body and usually give you a good cleavage.

This kind of top will also draw the attention away from the hips or stomach that you might be conscious of and draw it to your fabulous cleavage. So try it and you won’t regret it.

Finally it is usually advised that one should avoid brighter and merrier colours as a full bodied woman. This is for fear of appearing bigger than you already are. T

his is however a misconception. Bright colours, if worn well can accentuate your body in a very beautiful way, so don’t be afraid to experiment, go out and dazzle them!
