APR’s Nshuti on verge of move to Stade Tunisien
Friday, July 20, 2018

20-year old APR FC striker Innocent Nshuti has left the country for Tunisia where he is reported to be closing in on a move to Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 side Stade Tunisien.

The development was confirmed to Times Sport yesterday by APR officials.

The youngster departed for Tunisia on Thursday afternoon – at 4pm aboard a Qatar Airways flight – and is supposed to report to the club today in the afternoon where he will hold discussions with the club and undergo a medical test before announcing his signing next week.

Prior to his check-in at Kigali International Airport on Thursday, the former APR Academy star said, "The club expressed interest in me since early this year. They approached me during this year’s CHAN finals in Morocco. I am going to have a medical and discussions on personal terms, then after it will be up to the two teams to decide.”

Should Nshuti join the four-time Tunisian champions, he will become the second player to leave the military side in less than four weeks following Djihad Bizimana’s move to Belgian side Waasland-Beveren last month.

The vastly talented striker joined APR’s first team from the club’s academy Intare FC in 2015 and has since helped the team to win two league titles and one Peace Cup trophy among other notable silverware pieces.
