The friendly game will be hosted at Amahoro indoor stadium – kick-off 4 pm.

The volleyball Genocide Memorial Tournament (GMT) will be contested by a total twenty-two teams from five countries; Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, DR Congo and the hosts Rwanda.

While talking to Times Sport this morning, Gisagara head coach Fidele Nyirimana confirmed today’s friendly game against the Congolese side before noting that "it will be a good test to my boys and our current form status ahead of the memorial tournament. We want to win it,”

The domestic league reigning champions, Gisagara, were knocked-out of last year’s memorial tournament in the last eight round after losing to Rwanda Energy Group (REG) in four sets.

APR volleyball club, in both men and women, are the holders in both categories. Last year, they defeated Sky of Uganda and Rwanda Revenue Authority in the finals to win the tournament.
