Algerian giants USM Alger have completed the signing of Rwanda international Emery Bayisenge on a three-year contract. The deal will see him at the club till June 2021.

Bayisenge, 24, joined USM Alger on Wednesday after passing his medical on Monday, ending his one-year stint with Moroccan second tier side Jeunesse Sportive d’El Massira.

While talking to Times Sport in a telephone interview yesterday, a notably thrilled Bayisenge said he was happy to seal the deal with USM and looks forward to enjoying football in Algeria.

"I am very happy to be part of such a club with rich history. It’s a new challenge and a new chapter of my career, I will work hard and perform to the best of ability to help USM Alger thrive,” the former APR star center-back Bayisenge told Times Sport.

Bayisenge left the military side, APR, for Morocco’s KAC de Kénitra in September 2016 before crossing to archrivals Jeunesse Sportive El Massira last year.

The 2015 CAF Champions League finalists, USM Alger, were founded in 1937 and host their home games at the Omar Hamadi Stadium, a 12,000-seater arena.

The club has one of Algeria’s most prominent football charts, having won the Algerian Ligue Professionally 1 seven times, the Algerian Cup 8 times and the Algerian Super Cup 2 times.
