KAMPALA - Rwanda will have to score three un-answered goals against Zanzibar this afternoon and keep their fingers crossed hoping that Uganda beat Tanzania 2-0 if they are to squeeze to the semi-finals of the on-going Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.

However a depleted Amavubi side, with already four players injured will have to up their game if they are to go past a physical Zanzibari side.

"We are going to try and play a good game and look for the goals. It is a difficult situation, but we have to fight till the last whistle,” said Rwanda’s Coach Tucak Branko.

As usual Branko is sticking to his attacking duo of Jean Lomami and Bokota Kamana Labama, Eric Gasana and attacking midfielder Elias Ntaganda.

The Croatian coach told Times Sport that this is the time for his players to show that they can recover from a difficult situation.

"Zanzibar is not an easy team, but in football any thing is possible and we could beat them even 5-0,” he said.

Although Branko will miss the services of his first choice players; goalkeeper Jean Claude Ndoli, Bonaventure Hategikimana and Abdul Uwimana, he thinks any player he sends to the pitch will be able to deliver.

Zanzibar’s Egyptian born coach Badr-el Din said he will not underrate Rwanda because they have always proved a tough team in the Cecafa tournament.

"I have told my players to go out and win the game because the group is so difficult,” said Badr-el Din whose side beat Somalia 2-0, before losing to Tanzania and settling for a barren draw against Uganda Cranes.

Amavubi will have to keep a close watch on Zanzibar’s danger-men Aggrey Morris, Abdi Kassim and Mohamed Seif.

The second game will see Uganda come all out to try and register victory against Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Stars in order to top the group. However, Tanzania who have proved a battle hardened team have vowed to die on the pitch.

Tanzania late last year beat Uganda at the same Nakivubo stadium in the early round of the CHAN African Championship. Elsewhere, Cecafa secretary General Nicholas Musonye has confirmed that if any of the teams tie on points, then goal aggregates will apply.

"We consider the head-to-head aspect only after looking at the points and goal aggregate,” said Musone.
