Group Vivendi Africa has appointed Aimé Abizera as the new CEO for Rwanda, effective February 2024, succeeding former CEO, Julius Kayoboke, who has been appointed as CEO for GVA Uganda and East Africa Counsel.

Mr. Abizera brings with him a wealth of experience after more than 13 years in various sales and marketing managerial positions, most recently in Canal+, a fellow subsidiary of the Vivendi group.

Abizera's journey is marked by a series of achievements and a proven track record in the telecommunications sector. During his tenure at CANAL+ Rwanda, Aimé played a pivotal role in driving sales growth and establishing the company as a leading player in the pay TV market, most recently as the Sales Director for the last 3 years.

As the head of sales, Aimé Abizera demonstrated his management and distribution prowess by implementing innovative strategies that resulted in increased market share and customer satisfaction for CANAL+ Rwanda.

His ability to navigate the dynamic and competitive landscape of the media and entertainment industry undoubtedly contributed to his selection as the new CEO of GVA Rwanda.

With the telecommunications industry witnessing rapid advancements and increased demand for reliable internet services, Aimé Abizera's appointment comes at a critical juncture for GVA RWANDA. As the new CEO, he is expected to leverage his strategic vision and industry insights to steer GVA towards becoming a formidable player in the ISP market.

Aimé's focus on customer-centric solutions and his experience in fostering strong business relationships positions him as a leader capable of driving GVA's expansion in Rwanda.

GVA continues to be driven to grow and help Rwanda reach its goal of becoming a leading ICT hub with all Rwandans having access to broadband connectivity as a basic utility and right.
