President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame, on Sunday, March 17, joined residents of Kigali City for the car-free day mass sports activity.

The popular sporting activity that takes place at least twice a month, attracts citizens of all walks of life who engage in activities like jogging, cycling, skating and walking.

Kigali car-free zone has, over the years, seen an emergence of new activities beyond group calisthenics, currently, activities like group tennis and ping pong, children’s mobile entertainment facilities, and blood donations have been added to the list of activities.

It is also a way to contribute, to some extent, to the reduction of gas emissions as well as an opportunity to have a great cheer and socialization for City residents.
