Special hire taxis should have clear marks

Dear Editor, I am a visitor in your beautiful country but I find it really hard to trace a special hire taxi when I need one. As I move around one person may stop and whisper “taxi” which leaves me wondering whether he is suggesting, based on my skin colour and the curious face I wear as I struggle to locate one.

Dear Editor,

I am a visitor in your beautiful country but I find it really hard to trace a special hire taxi when I need one. As I move around one person may stop and whisper "taxi” which leaves me wondering whether he is suggesting, based on my skin colour and the curious face I wear as I struggle to locate one.

Most of the time I may even ask for the charges for particular destination but this so-called taxi driver takes time to think about how much to charge me.

I am uncomfortable with this issue and I hope that some one simplifies this need, so that many of us may find it easier to move from one place to another.

I suggest that a particular place be identified as a parking area for these special hire taxis. Charges be displayed at their stages and they should have uniform strips like the commuter taxis.
