Will Young Grace leave Guma-Guma?

Female rapper Young Grace found herself in a sticky spot after photos of her wearing a Skol branded jersey made rounds on social media.

The singer is among this year’s contestants of Primus Guma Guma Super Star, and the rules stipulate that a contestant should not be spotted ‘supporting’ a rival company until after the contest.

The photos show Young Grace wearing a Skol branded-Rayon Sports jersey, and it created controversy with so many people on the Internet defending the singer, while others said it was wrong.

News reaching us is that organisers have been contemplating disqualifying the singer from the competition. But it is not yet clear on whether they will.

Sources indicate that organisers also decided to withhold a one month Guma-Guma salary, amounting to Rwf1 million.

Rwandan to take part in Miss Africa Canada

14 African women will be vying for the title of the inaugural Miss Africa Canada and Rwandans can as well get ready to support their representative.

Nancy Sibylle Uwase is among the contestants who will be competing for the crown under the slogan "Expression of African Heritage”. It will be a presentation of African heritage in dance, song and talent.  At the pageant, each individual contestant will take people through a cultural odyssey of the country they represent on June 23 at L’olympia Montreal. Rwanda is a country with a rich culture, and so the representative will most likely do well.  Uwase will be competing against contestants from countries like Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, DRC, Guinea Conakry, Togo, Nigeria, Mali, and Tanzania. We wish her the best.
