June 12-13 Quarter-finals (first-leg) Marines Vs Rayon Police Vs APR Bugesera Vs Sunrise Mukura Vs Amagaju

RAYON Sports eased into the quarter-finals of Peace Cup 3-1 on aggregate as Pierrot Kwizera and Hussein ‘Tchabalala’ Shaban scored a goal each in a 2-0 second-leg win over Etincelles on Wednesday at Kigali Stadium. 

The two teams had played out a 1-all draw in the first-leg at Umuganda Stadium three weeks ago.

Burundi international Kwizera scored the opener on the 22nd minutes before his compatriot Tchabalala doubled the Blues’ lead two minutes to half-time.

Rayon will meet Marines in the quarter-final. The first-leg match will be played on June 13 in Rubavu District before the return fixture a week later in Kigali.  

Meanwhile, holders APR will face Police in the last eight. In the other quarter-final ties, Bugesera will be up against Sunrise while Mukura will tussle it out with Amagaju.

The first-leg matches of the 2018 Peace Cup are scheduled for June 12-13 before second-leg encounters on June 19-20. The semi-finals will be played between June 26 and July 1.

The final is slated for July 4 with the eventual winners earning the right to represent Rwanda at next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
