The national Under-20 men’s football team departed for Zambia last night aboard a RwandAir flight, ahead of the May 19 return leg encounter against the Junior Chipolopolo in the 2019 Africa U20 Nations Cup qualifiers, in Lusaka.

The Junior Wasps will have a nearly impossible mountain to climb in Lusaka after losing 2-0 in the first leg last week at Kigali Stadium.

The winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the third and final round of qualifiers for the 2019 Africa U20 Nations Championship finals to be held in Niger.

Head coach Vincent Mashami admitted that his youngsters stand a little chance to make it to the ultimate round of qualifiers. But the boys still have everything to fight for, including ‘pride’ of the country, he told Times Sport.
