Over hundred golfers are expected to participate in the inaugural Transform Africa Golf Tournament at Kigali Golf Club in Nyarutarama, today.

The one-day event is organised by Smart Africa, in partnership with Kigali Golf Club.

According to the organisers, the goal of this tournament is to bring together delegates of the Transform Africa Summit in a friendly environment to relax and conduct business as they collaborate on new ways of shaping, accelerating and sustaining Africa’s digital revolution.

Speaking to Times Sport on Wednesday, Kigali Golf Club captain Davis Kashaka said they expect an eventful day at the Kigali Golf Course.

He said that the competition will draw over 20 foreign guests and local golfers, and "everything is in place” for a successful event.

Besides the golf tournament, delegates of the continental summit have also been invited to take part in the third edition of the Kigali Night Run tomorrow.

The Kigali Night Run is organised by Rwanda Development Board (RDB) in partnership with the City of Kigali, and the Ministry of Sports and Culture.
