Dena Mwana

The dates for the second edition of Fragrance of Worship, organised by Burundian gospel star Fortran Bigirimana and Moriah Entertainment Group, have been announced.

It will be held on July 1, at Christian Life Assembly (CLA), and will feature international guest artistes, including Maggie Blanchard, from Canada, and Dena Mwana, from Democratic Republic of Congo.

Several Rwandan gospel singers, including Serge Iyamuremye and Luc Buntu, are also expected to take part in the night of worship.

Bigirimana, who is based in France and is popular for his songs such as ‘Amahoro’, ‘Ntaconzoba’ and many others, is a common fixture on the Rwandan gospel scene and together with Moriah Entertainment Group, they are planning to make the event an annual affair.

Blanchard, known for her songs ‘Libere’ and ‘C’est bon de louer son non’ songs, and Congolese gospel sensation Mwana, known for her songs  ‘Elombe/Pasolalola’ ‘Emmanuel’ and L’Eternelest Bon, will grace the gospel concert.

The first edition of Fragrance of Worship, which took place last year, featured international gospel stars such as Groupe EXO, from the United States, and Olivier Cheuwa, the Cameroonian-born Swiss-based hip hop gospel star.

For the upcoming edition, doors will be open at 5p.m, with entrance fee ranging between Rwf5000(for ordinary section)) and 10.000 (for VIPs).

At the event, Bigirimana will also be launching his 3rd album and the Ntaconzoba Live DVD recorded in Kigali in 2016.

On July 8, 2018, the entire crew will be in Bujumbura for the Fragrance of Worship Bujumbura edition, while and in September they will be in Brussels for a similar event.

Gospel lovers should mark their calendars.
