It was a good weekend for Rwandan players abroad with a host of elite players putting up impressive performances before the international break.

Elsewhere,Quentin Rushenguziminega also scored a brace for FC Echallens who drew 2-2 with Yverdon Sports II whereas Bonheur Mugisha and Emmanuel Imanishimwe had playing time after sitting out in the past weeks.

Belgium

Hakim Sahabo started for Standard Liege in their 1-0 defeat to Genk at the Cegeka Arena on Sunday, March 10. He lasted 60 minutes before making way for Congolese midfielder William Balikwisha.

Midfielder Samuel Gueulette missed his second outing in 25 games this season as he was not involved in Raal La Louvière 1-0 win over Royal Cappellen. Raal are unbeaten in the Belgian third tier this season.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Matteo Nkurunziza and left back Yves Mutamuliza featured for RWDM U21 who beat Oostende U21 3-2.

France

Right back Warren Kamanzi saw 77 minutes of action before being replaced by Congolese star Shavy Babicka as his side Toulouse lost 1-0 to Le Havre in French Ligue 1.

In the U19 Championnat, there was no Thierry Musabyimana in Le Havre squad which beat USL Dunkerque U19 3-2.

Switzerland

In the Swiss Super League, Forward Joel Mugisha came in for Darian Males in the 61st minute as his side Young Boys SC humiliated FC Basel 5-1 in the Swiss "El Clasico".

In the same division, winger Johan Marvin Kury is still nursing an injury and was not involved in Yverdon Sports 3-2 win over FC Zurich.

In the lower tier, Quentin Rushenguziminega netted a brace for FC Echallens who drew 2-2 with Yverdon Sports II. Rushenguziminega has scored 11 goals in 15 league games so far this season.

Netherlands

In the Eerste Divisie, winger Noam Emeran came in for Jorg Schreuders in the 82nd minute as his side FC Groningen gave MVV a 3-0 mauling.

Ukraine

Amavubi skipper Djihad Bizimana played full throttle and was impressive for title chasing FC Kryvbas who beat Obolon Kyiv 1-0 at Shakhty Zhotneva Stadium on Saturday, March 9.

Macedonia

Abdul Rwatubyaye was again up and firing as he netted a brace including the winner in the 84th minute for FK Shkupi who beat Rabotnicki 3-2 on Sunday.

Latvia

Dylan Georges Maes was resolute in the heart of defense and played full throttle for FS Jelgava who drew goalless with Daugavpils in match day one of the Latvian top tier.

Iraq

Djabel Manishimwe was not in the match day squad of Al Quwa Al Jawiya who drew 1-1 with Amanat Baghdad SC in the Iraqi Stars League.

Saudi Arabia

Holding midfielder Steve Rubanguka was in action for Al Nojoom who lost 2-0 to Al Rawdhah in match day 27 of the Saudi second league.

Rubanguka was recalled to the national team after more than a year without a callup.

Morocco

Left-back Emmanuel Imanishimwe saw 90 minutes of action for Botola League leaders AS FAR Rabat who beat CA Youssoufia Berrechid 2-0.

Tunisia

Bonheur Mugisha replaced Naceur Trabelsi in the second half as AS Marsa lost 1-0 to CA Bizertin.

Libya

Central defender Thierry Manzi made way for Jihad Al Ashaheb in the 91st minute as his club Al Ahli Tripoli maintained their lead at the top of the table with an emphatic 2-0 away win over Al Bashaer Misrati.

Former Amavubi captain Haruna Niyonzima replaced Houssein Ben Yahia in the 86th minute as his club Al Taawon Adjabiya defeated Al Hilal 3-2.

Kenya

Striker Arthur Gitego played full time action for AFC Leopards who lost 1-0 to Tusker FC.

Tanzania

Veteran striker Meddie Kagere started his third game in a row but his contribution was minimal as his club Namungo FC were beaten 3-1 by reigning champions Yanga SC.

South Africa

Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari played full throttle and kept a clean sheet as TS Galaxy drew goalless with Richards Bay FC in the DSTV Premier League.

Friendly Games

Rafael York featured for Gefle IF who thrashed Vasalunds 3-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday March 9.

Ange Mutsinzi captained FK Jerv to a 2-2 draw with Lysekloster in a preseason encounter.

Lague Byiringiro was in action for Sandviken IF who drew 1-1 with Sundsvall in a preseason game but his countryman Yannick Mukunzi was not in the Sandviken match day squad.

Beltran Nishimwe Mvuka started from the bench for Sandefjord who lost 2-0 to Fredrikstad.

Innocent Nshuti played for One Knoxville FC who wrapped up their preseason games with a 2-1 defeat to Lou City.
