France Mpundu's latest release, 'Nzagutegereza', which dropped on Wednesday, March 6, is creating a buzz among Rwandan music enthusiasts.

With heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies, Mpundu captures the essence of unwavering commitment in the face of separation.

In an interview with The New Times, Mpundu shared her thoughts on the new song, saying, "In 'Nzagutegereza', I wanted to convey the protagonist's pledge to faithfully wait for her distant love through my velvety vocals."

With its fusion of traditional and contemporary influences, the song resonates with universal themes of patience and devotion.

Future projects

When asked about her upcoming projects, the talented 'Umutima' singer revealed that she has a lot in store for her fans.

She teased the possibility of releasing an extended play (EP) or even an album.

"I've been recording many songs recently, and I want my fans to enjoy this new release first. But they should definitely expect something big next, maybe an EP or an album," she said.

Regarding her experience with her new management, Huha Records, Mpundu expressed her satisfaction, saying, "Working alone is tough, but with a committed and supportive team around me, things have become much easier."

She also hipped please on Juno Kizigenza, saying, "Working with Juno Kizigenza has been a blessing. We share the same ambitions, which is to reach the very top."

Her latest release, "Nzagutegereza," marks the second milestone in her musical journey since signing with Huha Records, a team founded by Juno Kizigenza and his manager, Bernard Nando, following her debut track, ‘Umutima’.
