Golfers to tee off in Transform Africa summit golf tournament

The captains of industry and leading entrepreneurs will tee off in the first edition of the Transform Africa Summit Golf Tournament on May 10, at the par 72 Kigali Golf course in Nyarutarama.

The tournament is aimed at bringing together delegates in a friendly environment to relax and conduct business, as they collaborate on new ways of shaping, accelerating and sustaining Africa’s on-going digital revolution.

According to the organizers, participants are obliged to register for Platinum to take part in the tournament.  The winners will be awarded medals

Davis Kashaka, the Kigali golf captain has told Times Sport that there are 120 slots for participants if they subscribe to play for platinum.

"Around 40 Kigali golf club members will also take part in the tournament; the club house is ready to assist Smart Africa to organize a successful event. We expect a high caliber turnout.” He added

Under the theme "Accelerating Africa’s Single Digital Market”, the Transform Africa summit is expected to attract 4,000 delegates including Heads of States, leaders of international and nongovernmental organizations from across the globe.

This fourth edition of Transform Africa Summit is powered by Smart Africa, as the leading annual African ICT forum.
