Five coaches on Police FC radar
Thursday, April 26, 2018

Five coaches have emerged as potential replacements of Innocent Seninga as Police FC head coach.

They include former Rwanda international Olivier Karekezi, SC Kiyovu head coach Andre Casa Mbungo, and U20 head coach Vincent Mashami.

Others are Serbian born Goran Kopunovic, who coached the law-enforcement side between 2012-2014, and former Rayon Sports head coach Djuma Masudi.

Karekezi has most recently coached Rayon Sports having only parted ways with the blues in February this year while Casa Mbungo guided Police to Peace Cup triump in 2015.

Police spokesperson Spt Regis Ruzindana declined to be drawn into the subject, saying they are only focused on helping interim head coach Maurice ‘Maso’ Nshimiyimana to succed during the remainder of this season.

"For now our coach is Maso, we wouildnt want talk about other people because we need him to concentrate on his work,” Ruzindana said.

Maso replaced Innocent Seninga who resigned, along with his assistant, Justin Bisengimana, last week following a poor run of results.

The interim coach said: "I am here to work and to help the team to improve the level of playing and I am okay with the draw we got in my first game in charge; I hope we will keep improving and win more points going forward.

Police are in eighth with 23 points.
