Wednesday Etincelles 1-1 Rayon Sports May 23 Return leg Rayon Sports Vs Etincelles

RAYON SPORTS were yesterday held to a 1-all draw by Etincelles in the first leg of their last 16 clash of the 2018 Peace Cup at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu.  Rayon came from behind to force a draw against the home side.

Cedric Mugenzi gave Emmanuel Ruremesha's side the lead in the 21st minute through spot kick after Faustin Usengimana fouled Cedric Mugenzi.    But Burundian forward Hussein ‘Tchabalala’ Shaban equalised for Ivan Jack Minnaert's team with a header in the 60th minute from an Eric Rutanga free-kick.

The second leg is scheduled May 23 at Kigali Stadium after which the overall winner will take on Marines in the quarter-finals.
