Kepler 104-102 UGB

American point guard Chad Bowie Jordan ran the show at Lycee de Kigali Gymnasium as his 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists inspired Kepler basketball to a narrow 104-102 victory over UGB on Saturday night, March 9.

It was a closely contested game which UGB were leading by a narrow margin in the first quarter before Juruni Mandy’s men bounced back to take second and third quarters.

The game was not decided until overtime of the game, something that kept Kepler fans on their feet in the final seconds.

Point guard Aristide Mugabe had off night, but remained in Chad Bowie&039;s shadow as he and teammate Chandelier Twizeyimana showed the difference that undoubtedly decided the game.

Besides Bowie's game high scoring, Mugabe and Twizeyimana added 20 and 13 points, respectively.

On UGB's side Saidi Amisi scored a team high 31 points, 16 rebounds and three assists while Espoir Aganze and Shaffi Habineza added 17 and 15 points respectively.

Kepler’s hard-fought victory moved them to fourth place with 8 points after five games while UGB dropped to fifth place with 8 points as well. The two teams separated by point difference.
