A forum designed to enlighten young Rwandans seeking answers to questions about the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi will take place at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre on Friday.

Dubbed ‘100 Days, 100 Questions’, the event will bring together experts drawn from different spheres of life to shed light on various aspects of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. 

The is organised by One Time, a local youth organisation that seeks to make a positive change among the country’s young generation.

"One Time believes that the best change starts from within, that is why it started with the youth, the future leaders,” said Darius Kalisa, the founder and acting manager of One Time. 

"We will be bringing together different experts to explain deeply about the events of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.” 

Some of the panelists that will take questions from the youth includes Antoine Mugesera, a former senator, historian and author; Beatrice Uwera, the vice president of the Association of Graduate Genocide Survivors (GAERG); Francoise Murekatete, a pyshcologist with AVEGA-Agahozo (an association of Genocide widows;  AND Marc Gwamaka, the founder of Peace and Love Proclaimers (PLP).

Topics to be discussed include; History of Rwanda, the day to day life of the generation born after the Genocide against the Tutsi, effects of trauma on citizens, and national policies and development  after the Genocide. 

The event will be spiced up by musical and poetry performances from Deo Munyakazi, Mike Kayihura, and Eric 1Key. It is scheduled to start 5p.m through 8:30p.m.
