RAYON SPORTS will become the first Rwandan club to reach the group stages of any CAF competition if they see off Mozambican side Costa Do Sol in second leg of the Confederation Cup in Maputo, today.

Blues coach Ivan Minneart said his team will not sit back and defend but will instead play their usual way, which is to attack and defend in numbers.

"We will not change our strategy and style of play for this particular match. We will approach it in the same way we did the first leg,” the Belgian said.

He added: "Qualification to the group stage is very possible; I believe in my players because they have the quality and composure to play such a difficult match away from home and win.”

Rayon Sports go into the second leg with a three-goal advantage from the first leg in Kigali earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Rayon Sports had a difficult training session on Monday evening after the flood lights at the stadium where they were training from were switched off. It is not clear why that happened but the Blues’ fans in Maputo used lights of their cars to help the team do a light training.
