KARONGI — An unknown man who last Saturday tried to commit suicide through hanging  himself from  a tree at Bwishyura police grounds has finally talked and revealed his home of residence.

The man, who is reported to be fond of changing his names was found hanging from a tree on the night of the Boxing Day,was saved by a police man on a night patrol.

‘He was like a ghost the fisrt time I took a look at him while he was hanging from the tree. We tried to bring him down but all in vain’, an official at the police post said.

After rescuing him , the police called residents to the station to possibly trace his origins and identity  but nobody could trace him.

Later, he identified himself as Alex Ngirabatware from Huye District in Southern province. However  he retracted the statement he made about his identity.

‘Yesterday, he changed his name from Ngirabatware to Nkundiye from Rusizi District in Western Province’, another eyewitness only identified as Claude said in a separate interview yesterday.
