Rwanda U20 vs Kenya U20

The National U-20 football team, Junior Wasps will today report for residential training camp ahead of their Africa U-20 Cup of Nations return leg tie against Kenya on April 21 at Kigali Stadium.

Striker Lague Byiringiro scored a crucial away goal in the first leg in Kenya to give Rwanda an edge in the return leg but Vincent Mashami, the U20 team coach says his side need to show the same resilience and attitude they displayed in the first leg.

"I think we have a very good chance to qualify for the next round but to do that we should not rely on the away goal but show the same resilience, vigor and attitude we did in the first leg,” Mashami said.

If the Junior Wasps qualify for the next round, they will meet defending champions Zambia.

The final qualifying round will be staged in July with the winner earning a slot to next year’s Africa U-20 Cup of Nations finals tournament in Niger.
