Mukura Victory Sports are confident they will eliminate AS Kigali from the last 16 round of the 2018 Peace Cup heading into today’s return fixture at Kigali Stadium.

In the first leg, hosts Mukura Victory Sports beat AS Kigali in a 3-2 goals thriller at Huye Stadium on Monday. The win boosted Christian Haringingo's chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Ibrahim Nshimiyimana scored a brace for Mukura while Kevin Hakizimana netted third goal; however, Janvier Benedata and Jimmy Mbaraga netted two goals for AS Kigali.

"We are playing against a good team in AS Kigali but we won the first leg and want to win the second leg, I believe my players can do better in this game" Mukura head coach Francis Haringingo told reporters.

"We have come here to win. We will do all we can to get the goals, we know it is not going to be easy, but our target remain the same, to qualify for the next round,” he noted.

But AS Kigali head coach Eric Nshimiyimana said: "We want to win the game and qualify for the next stage and we will only need to score one goal to make it happen, so we are ready for it. Mukura are very hard to beat but we are prepared for the game."

In other matches, Sunrise will host Espoir at Nyagatare turf, while Marines will be playing against Pepiniere at Umuganda Stadium.

In the first leg, Marines beat Pepiniere 1-0 at Ruyenzi, while Espoir overcame Sunrise 2-1 at Kamarampaka Stadium.

Meanwhile SC Kiyovu played out a 1-1 draw against Bugesera at Mumena on Wednesday. The game was initially set for Tuesday but it was called off due to heavy rain. The return is due Friday at Nyamata turf.
