Beach Volley: Rwanda beat Trinidad & Tobago in friendly

Rwanda women beach volleyball team yesterday beat Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in a warm-up match in Queensland, Australia as they continue preparations for the Commonwealth Games, which will run from April 4-15.
 
The team, which includes Denise Mutatsimpundu and Charlotte Nzayisenga, won both sets (21-16 and 21-12).
 
"This is a good result for us and it will help the girls with their fitness levels, ” Head coach, Christopher Mudahinyuka said.
 
Mudahinyuka said that they are trying to secure friendly games against Scotland and England.
 
"On April 4 we are planning to play with Scotland in second warm-up match before we play against England. We want to play two more games as we want to see if we can raise our level of playing” added Mudahinyuka.
 
Rwanda were drawn in Group C alongside New Zealand, Vanuatu and Singapore . 
 
The Rwandan duo will begin their campaign against New Zealand on April 6 before taking on Vanuatu on April 8 and wrapping up the group stages with a clash against Singapore the following day.
