Aimable Nsabimana fires APR into fourth

Centre back Aimable Nsabimana scored the only goal as 16-league champions APR beat Etincelles 1-0 yesterday in a rescheduled fixture of Azam Rwanda Premier League at Umuganda Stadium. The win took the military-backed side into fourth spot with 25 points, while Etincelles remain in seventh place with 21 points from 15 games.

Centre back Aimable Nsabimana scored the only goal as 16-league champions APR beat Etincelles 1-0 yesterday in a rescheduled fixture of Azam Rwanda Premier League at Umuganda Stadium.

The win took the military-backed side into fourth spot with 25 points, while Etincelles remain in seventh place with 21 points from 15 games.

Nsabimana struck in the 20th minute to hand his side a much-deserved victory.  

APR will play their last rescheduled game against Gicumbi on Wednesday at Gicumbi Stadium and another win would move them into top three level on points with second-placed SC Kiyovu with 28 points.

AS Kigali lead the league table standings with 29 points, one point ahead of SC Kiyovu in second spot, while defending champions Rayon Sports, who will today play against Sunrise in a rescheduled game at Nyagatare turf, are in third with 27 points.

Sunrise FC are in fourth with 25 points.
