The Ruyenzi-based side, which was relegated from the Azam Rwanda Premier League last season after only one season, have 39 points from 17 matches, one point behind Pool leaders Sorwathe FC, who have played a game less.

Striker Christopher Safari scored both goals for Pepiniere in the 32nd and 61st minutes respectively.

Elsewhere in Pool A, Rwamagana City moved up to third following a 2-1 victory over Gitikinyoni FC, who stayed in 10th place with 10 points from 17 games.
