RE: "Want to improve education quality? Stop teaching and let students learn” (The New Times, March 1).

The idea that education is one-way is wrong—it is a two-way process where teachers can learn as well. The average connected Rwandan teenager can teach so much about IT to their teachers, new skills meet old skills.

So girls in Zambia were faced with a problem to solve; drinkers at a bar next to the school were urinating and making the place stink.

They designed a special toilet to collect the urine and used it to generate electricity for their school.

This is PBL, turning problems into solutions and making problems beneficial.
