Saturday RRA (Rwa) Vs Nkumba (Uga)

Rwanda Revenue Authority Volleyball Club will face Nkumba University from Uganda in the third match in Group A Saturday night at the ongoing African Women Club Championships in Cairo, needing to win and qualify to the last 8.

RRA, started their campaign with a 3-0 win over Ngong VC from Cameroon on Wednesday, lost to hosts Ahly in straight sets Thursday night 3-0 (25-13, 25-10, and 25-16).

Ahly big gun Aya Elshamy contributed 12 points for her team as match best scorer, while Mukantamara top scored for the losers, scoring 7 points.

Ahly, after a third successive victory, progressed to the quarters as group leaders with 9 points. RRA are second with 3 points, same as Nkumba, who lost to Ahly before defeating Ngong 3-0 yesterday.

Victory for RRA against Nkumba will automatically qualify them to the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, five teams remained unbeaten in the competition so far at the end of Day 3 namely; Ahly in Pool A, holders Carthage (Tunisia), Bafia (Cameroon) in Pool B, Pipeline (Kenya) C and Prisons (also Kenya) in Pool D.
