Incumbent Theogene Utabarutse is standing unopposed as he seeks a second term of office as president of Rwanda handball Federation (FERWAHAND)—the elections are set for March 10.

According to the head of FERWAHAND Electoral Commission, Jean Bosco Twahirwa, Utabarutse is the only candidate vying for the post of federation president, while the vice-president post has two candidates including the incumbent Mansuet Kagabo and challenger, Beatha Tuyambaze.

Jean Paul Ngarambe is also standing unopposed to retain the post of secretary general, while Dieudonné Garuka is vying for the position of accountant.

Utabarutse has been president of Rwanda Handball Federation since March 2014. The candidates started campaigning on February 27 until March 9, the eve of the election day.

The Executive Committee will have a four-year term renewable only twice.
