Gospel music group thrills believers in live performance

Healing Worship succeeded in delivering a well-rounded and impressive performance during its album launch. Below, different choirs performed at the event.

Bethesda Holy church in Gisozi was the place to be last Sunday as Healing Worship gospel group launched Mwami Icyo wavuze album in a live performance.

The free concert attracted a big number of people from all walks of life despite the chilly weather.

The event uplifted spirits of the congregation with worship songs and most could be seen raising their hands in reverence and adoration to the Lord.

The 11-track album has songs like Byose byarakozwe, Atatimiza, Ni Ukuri turakomeye, Nta misozi, Urufatiro, Mbali na kelele, Icyo wavuze, Alijitowa msalabani, Data wo mu ijuru,Ntibyaribyoroshye, and Mungu ni mwenye uwezo.

The concert started at 2p.m, but by 1:30pm the church was already packed to capacity by gospel music lovers from different parts of Kigali.

Light Gospel delivered the first performance. The choir mesmerised the audience with heavenly worship songs like Wera wera, which brought many to their knees.

Healing Worship Team appeared on stage at 5pm, and performed almost all the songs from their new album and some of the old songs including Data wo mu ijuru, Ntibyaribyoroshye, and Mungu ni mwenye uwezo, to the excitement of the audience.

Other artistes who blessed the audience with their talent included Kingdom of God Ministries, Alarm Ministries and Gisubizo Ministries, among others.

Gabby Kamanzi was the last act on the stage, performing her popular gospel hymn Neema ya Goligota and left the audience wanting more.

Rev. Rutayisire Antoine ministered the word of God to the audience through sermons and preached about true worship.

With four albums already out, the group has managed to spread the gospel in different parts of the country and in the region.

Healing Worship Team is a choir at Power of Prayer Church in Kicukiro and was established in 2009.

The concert ended at 8:00pm.
