Not all women care about fashion trends. Many do not care for what is trending or how to keep up with style.

If you are this kind of person, there is always a way to look stylish without necessarily copying what the Kim Kardashian’s or Rihanna’s of this world wear.

You can still look stylish in your day-to-day outfits, fashionistas say.

Find out what looks good on you

Angie Kirabo, a designer dealing in African fabric, says that the most important thing is to wear outfits that flatter your appearance.

"Feel confident in what you wear. Being stylish is about knowing how to put an outfit together, and making sure it looks great on you.

"To achieve this, it is important to understand your own personal style. This is something that each of us has, we just have to identify it, understand it, and then live it,” she says.

Kirabo says that feeling confident can make one effortlessly stylish.

Kirabo adds that outfits that are tailored to fit perfectly and show off one’s figure work well for women who don’t chase trends.

Also, accessorise simply; do not be ‘loud’.

"Simple jewellery is the way to go when aiming for a simple but sophisticated look,” she says.

Kirabo says that neutral colours work well too because they go with almost anything.
