Dushimumukiza, Nyirahabimana win Rwamagana marathon

Thomas Dushimumukiza won the full marathon in the men’s category while Genes Nyirahabimana clinched women’s category at the fourth edition of Rwamagana Challenge Marathon held in Rwamagana town on Sunday.

Thomas Dushimumukiza won the full marathon in the men’s category while Genes Nyirahabimana clinched women’s category at the fourth edition of Rwamagana Challenge Marathon held in Rwamagana town on Sunday.

Dushimumukiza finished first in the men’s race after using a total of 2 hours 24 minutes and 35 seconds, Olivier Shyaka came second after using a total of 2 hours 24 minutes and 50 seconds, in third place was Gilbert Dushimimana with 2:27’59” while Enock Ndagijimana came fourth after using 2:30’15.”

In the women category, Genes Nyirahabimana finished in first place with 3:24’18.” Mediatrice Nyirarangwa came in second place with 3:35’15”, and was followed by Janviere Musabimana after using 3:36’38” while Solange Nyirabagenzi finished in fourth place with 3h 37’12”.

The winner in each category got Rwf100,000, second (Rwf70,000), third (Rwf50,000), fourth (Rwf 40,000) and fifth (Rwf30,000)
