Police handball club will face Inyemeramihigo in nation league will kick-off today at Rubavu ground.

Head coach of Police handball club, Dismas Turatsinze said they on winning the opening game which will be tough because Inyamiramihigo have improved each year.

"We have everything to win the title. We know other teams are also preparing well. We hope that with the new players that we have signed we will do better than last year.” Turatsinze said

The national handball championship, which Police won consecutively in 2014, 2015 and 2016 before losing it to APR last year.

"We have signed players from APR, who we believe will bring a winning mentality to our team” he added

The new signs from APR namely: Viateur Rwamanywa, Emmanuel Murwanashyaka and Alex Nshimiyimana, all have signed one-year contract.

Meanwhile, in other matches planned on Saturday, Adegi will take St Aloys, Inkumburwa face St Aloys before Adegi play second game against Inkumburwa.

However, on Sunday, the defending champion, APR will take on Nyakabanda at Kimisagara ground. Ten teams in men category will supposed to play this session.
