RE: "What was your intake nickname at University of Rwanda?” (The New Times, February 4).

Our nickname in the 2013 promotion was abadehe for the guys and Inyatsi for the ladies!

This culture should not be banned because no student took it personal! You can’t tell me that we’re not patriotic or that all the nicknamed promotions are not productive!

I belonged to Abajanjawide of 2005. Nothing bad was associated with such naming. In fact we enjoyed them and today you find some WhatsApp groups formed according to those names.
