Kigali Kizomba and Semba Weekender

Kizomba and Semba will be happening from January 26 to 28. It will include 10 hours of intensive training and practice with Ronnie Ck to cover leading and following techniques, weight transfer exercises, target practices and space awareness that will take your dancing skills to the next level. The workshop is open with levels from beginner to intermediate and advanced. Sessions begin at 12pm at City Arts Studio, Kigali.

Agasaro 4 Love Campaign 

Agasaro 4 Love Campaign is a project is aimed at raising $10,000 and items that can be used to change the life of kids and their parents on the street. Individuals, institutions and charity organisations are invited to donate money or other educational items and clothing in this fundraising event which will be held tomorrow January 27 2018 at Iriba Centre in town. Money will be raised by selling bracelets and necklaces made by the kids, t-shirts, portraits and photos for children. 

Documentary

To commemorate the Holocaust, Goethe-Institut Kigali will film the documentary Die Wohnung (The Flat), directed by Arnon Goldfinger (2011).

There will be a discussion with German author Sarah Stricker who lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel, after the screening. She will give insights into the situation today. It will happen January 27 at 6:30pm. Entrance is free. 

Book Master Event

For people who love stories, poetry, music or games, join the Book Master team this Sunday January 28 and learn from their inspiring book discussions and book reviews, debates, talks, and entertainment by amazing Rwandan artists in poetry, storytelling, live painting, music, and more. If you like to exchange ideas and grow your network, this event is designed for you. The monthly event offers a unique opportunity to buy and sell books and art objects at very affordable prices. It will happen at Ajabu Coffee Shop and Restaurant starting from 4pm to 8pm. 

Christian Dance Festival

The third edition of Christian Dance Festival will take place Sunday January 28 at Petit Stade Amahoro starting at 3pm. United Dance Worshipers (UDW) is a youth-led network established in 2014 that consists of 10 Christian dance teams with around 250 members from different churches and ministries. Their ministry is portrayed through many talents, mainly dances such as traditional/African, drama, modern, salsa, Indian/western dances; as well as plays, poems and sketches.
