V-ball: Gisagara sign left-attacker Mukunzi

Rwanda national Volleyball team captain and left attacker Christophe Mukunzi has signed a one-year contract with Gisagara Volleyball Club.

Rwanda national Volleyball team captain and left attacker Christophe Mukunzi has signed a one-year contract with Gisagara Volleyball Club.

The 28-year-old Rwanda international returned to the country after failing to ink a deal with Saudi Arabian side Al-Mouj Club in October last year.

According to head coach, Fidele Nyirimana the club has signed experienced players ahead of next season, which will start on March 3.

Mukunzi made his league debut for Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) in 2007 and stayed there until he turned professional four years later when he joined Libyan side Tarsana Club. He also played for Blida Club of Algeria, Qatari side Al Arabi Sports Club and Algerian side El Fanar Ain-Azel Club.

Gisagara will represent Rwanda at 2018 Men’s African Club Championship to be held in Cairo, Egypt from March 25 to April, 6.
