Espoir 90-74 Orion

Point guard Olivier Turatsinze scored a team high 26 points to lead Espoir to a 90-74 win over Orion in Friday night’s Rwanda Basketball League game held at STECOL basketball court.

Small Forward Eric Muhayumukiza added 17 points to hands Orion the second league defeat in a row.

Orion’s Elias Solomon Ezenekwe scored a joint-game high 26 points but his effort, in addition to Jean de Dieu Niyungeho’s 15 points, wasn’t enough to spare his team from the defeat.

Both sides equalized in first quarter 21-21, before Orion claimed the second quarter 23-20 to go into half time break leading 44-41.

Back in the second half, Espoir bounced back to win the third quarter 22-19 and the last quarter 27-11 to take it all and bag two points of the day.

Elsewhere, REG maintained their unbeaten run with a 76-70 win over Tigers at STECOL basketball court.
