What is likely to happen in Rugando, one of Kigali suburbs is an underground move to compensate some of the Genocide suspects, and the residents are up in arms against it.

The worst thing in life is when someone suspected to have committed a crime starts to warm up for a benefit other members of society cannot get even before the suspects face justice.

To ignore these complaints from the residents would be dangerous since those supposed to help them are the ones behind the move.

Gacaca Courts are considered the eye of the public in the context of unearthing the truth behind these accusations but it is absurd to hear the court’s president in the area claiming that he has no idea on what is going on.

One wonders where our society is heading without being updated with information regarding their social welfare that mainly starts with justice. Pleased concerned parties consider the consequences of that act while handling the issue.

It will be hazardous on national and international scale to compensate Genocide suspects before they have been charged or cleared of what they are being accused of and before compensating the survivors who faced double lose of property and human life plus dignity.
